Made… a hand-lettered card for a friend’s birthday.
Appreciated… the Valentine’s Day notes that someone placed on every single door in our building.
Laughed at… this little troll that my suitemate placed in our window. It makes me smile every time I see him. He now has a new little buddy, with pink hair!
Enjoyed… the quietness that comes with a heavy snowfall. Cars are off the road, footsteps are muffled, and it is just so peaceful (although I would have loved to stay in my bed a little longer- these were taken at 7 AM- although most schools in New York State were closed, our wasn’t).
Hiked… twice up at my grandfather’s land on two separate occasions when I was home (once to attend the funeral of an older member of our church family, once for my midterm break). The views up there are breathtaking, even in the middle of winter.
Was super excited… to spend Valentine’s day hanging out with my best friends. I think Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples! This was one of the few Valentine’s days for which all of my close friends were single, so it was nice to see a close friend.
Looking forward to… taking a mini road trip in a few weeks to visit with friends, the end of the semester (only 6 weeks to go), and Peru (7 WEEKS TO GO!!!).
Working on… enjoying each day and appreciating my time at college. It’s tough, but I really am trying.
