Recent reads… Catching Fire, Mockingjay, The Sisters from Hardscrabble Bay, Kinfolk Magazine (Volume 10). I really liked Catching Fire, but didn’t love the way Mockingjay ended. I’m trying to read more this year, and am so far doing good. Next on my list is The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom and Looking for Alaska by John Green, both of which I received from friends for Christmas.
Enjoying… afternoon naps. I don’t have any afternoon classes this semester (I do have a night class though), so I’ve been taking advantage of that by taking a daily afternoon nap.
Not enjoying… my acting I class. I wouldn’t be taking it if I didn’t need to, and it definitely isn’t a class I’m liking. Not my thing at all.
Liking… my Ceramics class. I think it might end up being my favorite class this semester.
Attended… my first private violin lesson. The instructor seems really nice and I’m happy to be able to continue learning violin (I’ve played since 2nd grade, but haven’t played much in the last year).
Trying… to enjoy each day, even though that’s not always very easy. I wasn’t really that thrilled to come back to college, but I’m trying to enjoy it regardless.
Wishing… I had a kitchen at college. Since today is rainy, all I want to do is bake and cook yummy things.
Achieving… my goal of exercising more regularly (so far at least!). I did an abs workout on Tuesday, and ran on Thursday and Friday.
Note: The photo above was taken right before one of my afternoon naps- our room was in the 80s, so even though the temperature outside was below 0, we had the window wide open- it was really sunny, so it almost felt like summer with a nice breeze.
