Happy Halloween everyone! I have to admit, I’m not the biggest fan of Halloween. It’s not that I don’t like the holiday, I just don’t tend to get very into all of the festivities. I do enjoy trick-or-treating, but it appears I am now too old to do that. I also enjoy dressing up to give out candy, but I wasn’t able to do that this year, either, seeing as I don’t live in a place people can trick-or-treat at. Our residence hall did have a Halloween party, but it didn’t really sound like my sort of thing, so I didn’t end up going.
That said, our suite was at least a little festive. We carved pumpkins in our sculpture class, and although we can’t have candles lit in our dorm rooms, at least my carved pumpkin can contribute to the decorations a bit. One of my suitemates likes Halloween more than I do, so she decorated some. She had this cute little glittery pumpkin and a small cup for candy to go in, along with some fake leaves, so we made a little display on one of the tables in our suite. She also put some sticky things up in the window.
My favorite decoration, however, was this little pumpkin troll. It took me a day to even realize that he was there! I think he makes our outlet a bit more pretty, don’t you agree?
